The French Autodrome: Cadillac : Les voitures...et le vin ! / The cars...and the wine !

Bon, je dérive un peu de notre sujet principal....mais je gravite autour !
Amateur de vin (mais pas expert), j'ai découvert récemment qu'il y avait une appellation de vin "Cadillac".
Cela m'a fait bien évidement sourire.
Mais le fait que ce vin et la célèbre marque américaine porte le même nom n'est pas totalement le ~~raisin~~ fruit du hasard puisque la marque automobile basée à Détroit doit son nom au fondateur de cette ville : Antoine de LAMOTHE-CADILLAC. Français originaire de la Gascogne. La Gascogne, une "région culturelle" de la France (autrefois découpe du territoire français...), dont font partie les terres où se trouvent les vignes des vins d’appellation "Cadillac".
Voilà pour la petite histoire via mes très gros raccourcis. Désolé. :-)
Mais en tant qu'amateur d'automobile et de vin, je trouve cela vraiment intéressant et voulait le partager et qui sait, faire aussi découvrir ce nom de vin (car qui ne connait pas déjà la marque automobile ?!)....
Je ne sais pas vous, mais je pense bien goûter un vin de cette appellation prochainement ! A défaut de pouvoir essayer une Cadillac... ;-)

Wine lover (but not expert), I recently discovered that there was a french wine appellation "Cadillac".
This of course made me smile.
But the fact that the wine and the famous American brand of the same name is not entirely a coincidence grapes since the Detroit-based automotive brand is named after the founder of this city: Antoine de Lamothe-Cadillac. French native Gascony. Gascony, a "cultural region" of France (formerly French territory cut ...), which includes the land where the vineyards wines of appellation "Cadillac".

But as an amateur automobile and wine, I find it really interesting and wanted to share it and who knows, to also discover this wine name (because who does not know already the car brand?!) ....
I do not know about you, but I think good taste a wine of this appellation soon ! Failing to try a Cadillac ... ;-)
